Ante - Screen Time ("Ante," or "the App") is operated by bearDevs ("we," "our," or "us"), a sole proprietorship based in California, United States. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information.

The short version: Ante does not collect your personal data. We do not operate servers that receive your information, we have no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Everything the App records (the apps you choose to monitor, your usage, your limits, and your in-app minute economy) stays on your device.

By using Ante, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Ante is designed to function entirely on your device. We, the developer:

Do not collect, store, or receive your personal information.
Do not require you to create an account or provide your name, email, or phone number to use the App.
Do not use analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs.
Do not track you across other apps or websites, and do not access the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA).
Do not sell, rent, trade, or share your information with anyone.
Do not operate backend servers that transmit your data off your device.

2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

To provide its core features, Ante stores the following on your device only, within an app-private container ("App Group") that is protected by iOS, and never transmits it to us or any third party:

Your app selection: the applications you choose to monitor and shield. These are represented by opaque tokens provided by Apple's Screen Time framework; they do not reveal a readable list of your apps to us.
Usage and limits: the time you spend in the apps you track, the daily limits you set, and whether an app is currently shielded.
The minute economy: minutes you earn or wager in the in-app games, your wager history, streaks, ranking, and lifetime statistics. These exist only on your device and have no monetary value (see our Terms of Service).
App-display names you enter: optional labels you type for the apps you track.

This information remains on your device and is removed when you delete the App or reset your data within the App.

3. Apple Screen Time & Family Controls

Ante uses Apple's Family Controls, Device Activity, Managed Settings, and Screen Time frameworks to monitor and shield the apps you choose, on the device you are using. This processing happens on-device under Apple's privacy-preserving design:

The App receives only opaque, non-identifying tokens for your selected apps, not a human-readable record of your activity.
We, the developer, never receive your Screen Time data. It is not sent to us or to any third party.
You grant Screen Time authorization through Apple's system prompt, and you can revoke it at any time in the iOS Settings app under Screen Time.

4. Notifications

If you allow notifications, Ante schedules local notifications on your device (for example, reminders about remaining time). These are generated on-device. We do not operate a push-notification server and do not collect a device push token.

5. Subscriptions and Purchases

Ante offers an optional auto-renewing subscription ("Ante Pro") sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or receive your name, payment-card number, or billing address. Apple processes all payments under Apple's Privacy Policy. The App verifies your subscription entitlement through Apple's StoreKit on your device; this confirms whether Pro is active and is not linked by us to your identity.

6. Third-Party Services

Ante does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or data-sharing services. The only third party involved is Apple, which provides the operating system, the App Store, payment processing, and the Screen Time frameworks. Apple's handling of information is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

7. Data Security

Because your information stays on your device, it is protected by iOS's built-in security, including app sandboxing and device-level encryption. We recommend you keep your device updated and protected with a passcode and Face ID or Touch ID. No system is perfectly secure, but because we never receive your data, there is no central database for us to lose.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Your information is retained on your device for as long as you keep the App installed. You can delete it at any time by:

Using the in-app reset option to clear your usage and economy data, or
Deleting the App from your device, which removes its local data.

9. Children's Privacy

Ante is rated 17+ and is not intended for or directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Because the App collects no personal information at all, it does not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the App in a way that concerns you, contact us at support@anteapp.me.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Because we do not collect or hold your personal information, there is no personal data in our possession to access, correct, delete, or export. The sections below are provided for transparency and to confirm your rights.

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you rights regarding your personal information. We confirm that:

We do not collect the categories of personal information defined by the CCPA through the App.
We have not sold or shared personal information, and we do not sell or share personal information. There is therefore no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" action required, but you may always contact us with questions.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.

European Economic Area & United Kingdom (GDPR/UK GDPR)

If you are located in the EEA or the UK, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation and the UK GDPR. Because the App processes your information solely on your own device and we do not receive or store it, we do not act as a data controller of personal data collected through the App. Apple may process certain information as described in Apple's privacy policy. 11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and post the revised policy at this URL. Your continued use of Ante after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
